Amber’s divorce
Amber Heard was married to her heartthrob Johnny depp. They met in 2011 during a press tour and it was love at first sight according to Johnny. However, they would only start dating in 2012. They didn’t realize they would need a Kirker Austin family law attorney soon after.
The relationship was rosy while it lasted. After two years in 2014, Johnny popped the question and Amber said yes. They seemed to love each other dearly at the time and even had a destination wedding the following year.
In 2016, everything changed. Paparazzi spotted Amber with supposed injury on her face after she filed for divorce and got a restraining order against her now ex-husband.
The effect was disastrous for Johnny, and he lost several endorsements. Johnny was also removed from movie casts and became a villain just like his characters. On top of everything he was going through, Johnny still had to pay a huge divorce settlement of $7 million. After the settlement, Amber pledged to give $500,000 to charity but failed to do so. This would haunt her later in the future.
The revenge
In 2019, Johnny got his revenge. He sued Amber for defamation of character. And the high-profile case would begin in 2022. The case was publicized and was one of the most interesting things people have watched in recent times.
The trial revealed a lot of inconsistencies with Amber‘s initial statements. Johnny was able to prove that Amber was in fact the abuser in the relationship. There were also reports of infidelity on Amber‘s parts during the marriage.
Just like that, Johnny won the lawsuit and was awarded damages against Amber. The results of the trial were devastating for Amber. She faced public scrutiny for lying and ruining her ex-husband‘s life. At the time, she was set to play a role in the Aquaman franchise. Fans protested against her and threatened to boycott the movie if she was not removed.
At the time filming was already over so there was little the producers could do about her presence in the movie.
Where is Amber nowadays?
Amber was hurt and disappointed by the verdict and sought to leave a quiet life away from all the troubles she face. So she did what most people would do and faced with a difficult situation, she ran. Amber relocated to Europe, specifically Spain with her infant daughter.
She had the child through a surrogate and has not spoken about the biological father of the child up to this day. On getting to Spain, she changed her name, hoping to live a quiet life away from the Hollywood scandal. Amber speaks fluent in Spanish and has been able to blend in perfectly with her new neighbors.
